"Last Nights News." HOOD FIGHTS edition

www.iKnowTANK.com decided to create a new feature called "Last Nights News." I see a lot of crazy business at night so i figured I'd bring it to you.

Now whats crazy about this video is the fact that I didn't even know who was fighting...until he walked about 3 feet from me...I really thought this was gonna be a PEOPLErazzi moment..."HEY YOU with the camera."

Who know where I'll be next...but it will always be "...LAST NIGHTS NEWS"

PS...the music definitely sets the tone.

Before you heard it anywhere else...Ludacris and Shawnna "BATTLE OF THE SEXES" part 1

Anything worth having is worth working for so if a multi-platinum,Grammy award winning artist calls an up and coming, yet slightly established producer to say "Yo , I need to hear some beats from you in the next 15 minutes..." you better be ready in 5 minutes and be eager to wait for him for the next 10.

Today's and case and study comes from the book of Khoa, producer of such hit records as "Why You Wanna Go and Do That?" for T.I. and "Mr. Magnificent" for Small World. In this video he shows us just how important a last minute phone call from Ludacris can be to a producer of his stature.

Will he make the deadline? Will Ludacris like his music? Will his music make the "Battle of the Sexes" album...we're not sure but tune in to find out.

SIDENOTE:Not only was the meeting location crazy but is that the same car Luda had in the 1st MTv cribs???It sure is

Before you READ it anywhere else..."Dancing With The Devil" by Mark Curry

No matter how great our job may seem...it's still called WORK and at some point we all hate it, apparently some hate it a little more than others.

Lets flash back to summer of '01. The King of Self Promotions (not me, I'm just the MAYOR of a small town called SELF PROMOTIONS) , Sean "P. Diddy" Combs had the clubs dancing (as usual) and seemed to have been preparing for is second go'round with a newer, fresher, rooster including G-Dep, Black Rob, Loon, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, those kids that did the Harlem Shake really well, and Mark Curry.

Fast-forward to 2009 and G-Dep has only released one album,Black Rob has been in jail a few times and came back on his own with something for the streets...if you count his block in Harlem as the streets, according to Jim Jones, Loon is in Atlanta selling burnout phones...and I believe it,Carl Thomas released an independent album while John Legend came out at the same time and that's all we've heard from him since, Mario Winans is back at home being "Scooter, son of Vicky," the "Shakers," went off to college and became "Male Cheerleaders," and Mark Curry now works at a burger joint a few blocks from the Def Jam building in NY.

In between prepping onions and flipping burgers Mark Curry took the time to write in his journal on all the reflections of his life and somehow gathered enough material to publish a book entitled "Dancing With The Devil:How Puff Burned The Bad Boys of Hip Hop." iKnowTANK, along with the help of some industry insiders (iKnow people at publishing houses too), has the 1 chapter here for your enjoyment. Buy the book (scheduled to be released 2/2/2009) and thank me later.
